Resist.....

When temptation is so strong and you feel you can’t resist, remember Jesus was tempted to think he would never see his FATHER again yet succeeded in his mission.

Galatians 3:13
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.

Deuteronomy 21:22, 23
If someone guilty of a capital offense is put to death and their body is exposed on a pole, you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God's curse. You must not desecrate the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.
  • Cursed is anyone who hangs on a tree
  • Taken down at sundown
  • Placed in a cave with stones placed in front, to block the entrance
All three of these were reserved for the worst sinners, and Jesus suffered it all for us
Can you imagine holding the guilt of the whole world?

2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Isaiah 53:4,6
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

God the Father loves us as much as he loves Jesus.  There is no difference between the God of the old testament and the old testament.  They are one and the same God.  Remember God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  Resists the temptation to sin.
