Truth has no place....

"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.  For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." (Matthew 24: 37-39)  No, we do not know the day or the time of the Lord's coming, but it sure looks like an anti-type of Noah's time is upon us.

Our schools, even our christian universities, teach evolution as truth.  A believer in the 6 day creation of God, and whom reveres the seventh day, is looked on as one who is foolish.  Evolution knows no morality.  God, the basis of morality, has been set aside.  Our generation has been imprinted with the thought that we can and should do whatever we want.  The words "strive to enter the narrow door", instead of bringing souls to repentance, sparks anger in the minds of those being rebuked.  Such reprehension, however, is made out of love.  When consequences become dire, we place the watchword: precaution and not morality.

Romans 1:16-22
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools"

Scientists who delve into functions of cells, physicists, psychologists and more should be the first to awe at the awesomeness of God.  We, instead, get the opposite.  The more they delve, the less they understand the complexities of our universe.  To the world, the idea of God and science cannot be fused.   All this complexity came about by chance, they say.  "We cannot allow a divine foot in the door".  Psalm 14:1 states only a fool thinks there is no God.

Romans 1:22-25
Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Man's eyes have gone from God to himself.  There is no more denial of self.  Robert Schuller, a now retired televangelist states, "the church's problem is that it has had a God-centered theology for centuries, when it needs a man-centered one.Furthermore he states "it would be an insult to the integrity of any human being to call him a sinner."  Robert Schuller very much resonates the words of Pope Paul II.

Romans 1:26-32
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Romans 1:26-32 sounds pretty much like every Hollywood movie.  We honor those that do vile things.  Right is wrong and wrong is right, "woe to those who call evil good and good evil." (Isaiah 5:20).  Instead of repenting, like we all should do, we honor sin.  The law of God applies everywhere, even in the fantasy realm.  Genesis 6:5 states that "God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5).  The imagination does matter.

When we see calamities coming, one dares not speak, in fear of what may be in store for them.  "O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.  For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the Lord was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.  Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail" (Jeremiah 20: 7-9,11).  Jeremiah felt the same way.  When you see the wrong, speak, God will do the rest.

"God comes with entreaties and assurances to those who are making mistakes. He seeks to show them their error, and lead them to repentance. But if they refuse to humble their hearts before Him, if they strive to exalt themselves above Him, He must speak to them in judgment. No semblance of nearness to God, no assertion of connection with Him, will be accepted from those who persist in dishonoring Him by leaning upon the arm of worldly power (The Review and Herald, August 4, 1904)." (Ellen G. White)

Jesus states "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."  Yes God is long suffering, but the day of His judgment is coming.  Many "Jeremiahs" will come to call God's people to repentance in these last days, many will accept the call, but many more will reject it.  Persecuted or not the job must be done.  "The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?."  Such words ring as blessings only to those who accept Jesus as Savior.
